AMONG THE BEST THINGS THAT HAPPENED IN THE OFF-SESSION was Legislative Council’s work to scrap the old Dictaphone archived audio system (basement access only) in favor of a new one from Granicus, providers of the state’s video feed (accessible to anyone over the Internet). It’s a vast improvement — one that we’re happy to incorporate within our State Bill Colorado bill-tracking service. You may have noticed, however, that some users have access to this archived audio faster than others. It turns out that people using Microsoft Silverlight on PCs get the first crack at listening, while other formats — including iPad-friendly ones — are processed by Granicus later in the day or, sometimes, the next day. So now you know.
EXCLUDING TABOR from the state’s defense of its school funding system was one of several reasons AG John Suthers’ office listed in its appeal of of Denver District Judge Sheila Rappaport’s decision in Lobato vs. Colorado.
