WITH HIS CAMPAIGN STOP in the Denver suburb of Aurora on Thursday, President Barack Obama courted a voting bloc that is key to determining who wins the presidential contest in the swing state of Colorado. The Post’s Bartels called Obama’s speech “hushed and rushed.”

WHO ATTENDED: The president spoke to a crowd of about 400 invited guests, a mix of active-duty troops and energy students, businesspeople and VIPs such as former Gov. Bill Ritter. About 200 soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines sat opposite the TV cameras under a blue sign bearing Obama’s new slogan from the State of the Union, “An America built to last.”
