HB10-1049: Chrysler Sues Colo. Over Its Dealer Law

Chrysler Group LLC has filed a lawsuit against the state of Colorado, claiming a recently enacted law that gives terminated dealers the first right of refusal if auto manufacturers want to reopen franchises closed in bankruptcy is unconstitutional, The Denver Business Journal reports.

The legal complaint, filed late Friday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the southern district of New York, came on the same day that a bipartisan group of state senators introduced a bill to fine anyone not complying with the Colorado Dealers Law as much as $25,000 a day.
