LAW WEEK COLORADO
The Colorado Supreme Court will move into The Denver Post building for three years while a new Judicial building is constructed southwest of the Capitol, according to the terms of a sublease executed between the court and Post owner MediaNews Group last week.
A copy of the lease was obtained today by Law Week Colorado, State Bill’s sister news service, under the provisions of the Colorado Open Records Act.
The high court’s lease was expected after The Denver Post’s confirmation this fall that the two parties were discussing the court’s move. Also moving to The Post building at 101 W. Colfax Ave. is the Colorado Court of Appeals.
Earlier this year, the State Court Administrator’s Office moved from its long-time headquarters at 1301 Pennsylvania St., Denver, to the fifth floor of The Denver Post tower. The fifth floor formerly was occupied by the newsroom of the Rocky Mountain News.
