Elmarr’s Defense: Not Guilty
Kevin Elmarr’s defense attorney, Nicole Collins, told jurors Wednesday in opening statements that there’s no proof of linking Elmarr to the murder of his ex-wife Carol Murphy in 1987.

Craig Has Until Monday To Answer Civil Suit
The city of Craig got an extension Monday and has to file an answer to former Craig City Council candidate Francisco Reina’s civil suit. Reina, represented by the American Civil Liberties Union, is arguing the spending limit imposed in campaigns by the city is unconstitutional.

StarTek Settles With Firefighters’ Fund
The call center operator StarTek Inc. agreed to settle a federal securities class-action lawsuit for $7.5 million. The suit was filed four years ago in Colorado’s U.S. District Court by the West Palm Beach Firefighter’s Pension Fund, claiming the company made false claims about the company’s clients pipeline that inflated its stock price.

Medical Marijuana Patient Goes To Trial
Jason Lauve, a 38-year-old Louisville man, will go to trial next month in Boulder County District Court on charges he possessed more marijuana than the legally allowed medical amount for a patient. The trial is slated for Aug. 3.
