Day five of the Kevin Elmarr murder trial continues Friday in Boulder. Prosecuting attorney Bruce Langer told jurors that piece by piece the evidence will convict Elmarr of murdering his ex-wife Carol Murphy in 1987.

Greeley Rape Trial Concludes
The rape trial of 27-year-old Joseph McClendon will conclude with closing arguments Friday in Weld District Court. Deputies arrested Felicia Simmons Thursday, who was there in support of McClendon, because she was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear to testify at an Arizona murder trial.

Securities Commissioner Files Complaint
Colorado Securities Commissioner Fred Joseph filed a complaint Thursday in Denver District Court alleging four businesses, a Dallas lawyer and eight people violated Colorado securities laws in marketing and promoting oil and gas well drilling operations.

Aspen Restaurateur Sued
A lawsuit was filed by Poss and Associates, Architecture and Planning, against restaurateur Scott DeGraff, claiming DeGraff’s companies owe $117,135 for work the company did.

Woman Pleads Guilty to Attempted Child Abuse
Karen Stillman pled guilty Thursday in Denver District Court to attempted child abuse with serious bodily injury. Stillman left her children in the care of another family for several years, even though she knew the children were being sexually abused.
